My reasoning behind it being about sex is because it mentions "whisper soft and slow. So in conclusion, I believe it's about her having sexual tension with A Harry Styles or B another very similar guy. Chemistry attraction heated feelings and a desire to be sexual with a guy who is happy wanting a reckless guy who she wants but doesnt want him to know her tru feelings. She has a partner who is very different from her, however she loves him and wants him to care more about her and helps her with the pain.
It's like he's not attentive and doesn't care about the love she has in her heart. She needs more physical contacts but he's very carefree. She knows that he's not a good match, but wants him to be hers. I think it's about a guy she likes but he just see's her as a friend, but he still cares about her a lot and she knows she can't have him because he's already with someone.

Here she is a big celebrity and you can still relate to her songs. Everytime I picture this song I see my and this guy that moved away back together. Teenagers especially can relate to this song as well as all other Taylor Swift songs.
